Job Role: GAP Multimedia Content Design and Events Coordinator

Department: Academy for Learning and Teaching Excellence

Location: Luton Campus 

Salary: £12.01 per hour 

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (October 2024 – April 2025)

About the Multimedia Content Design and Events Coordinator placement

The Academy at the University of Bedfordshire is seeking someone with creativity looking to develop skills in event management and multimedia content creation.

The placement is to support web design, media creation and event coordination for a funded project exploring compassionate assessment. The placement will also support the development of multimedia content for the Academy’s teaching and learning website and online communities.

The placement has two key aspects. The first is to support the design of a new project website and to help produce high quality content for the project and the Academy websites and online spaces. The content will be a mix of text, audio, and video.

The second aspect will be to support and coordinate events such as online workshops. This will involve helping to organise the event and administration. It will involve the use of social media and other media to promote events.

About the Academy for Learning and Teaching Excellence

The Academy is leading a project on Compassionate Assessment, a Quality Assurance Agency funded collaborative project with Queen Margaret University in Scotland and the University of the Arts London. The aim of this project is to support higher education colleagues to enhance their assessment practices. The project involves a series of monthly online events, a website for sharing and collating resources and guidance and some in person events.

Eligibility

The GAP is open to any graduate who undertook an undergraduate (BA/BSc/BEng/LLB) course at the University of Bedfordshire on either a full or a part time basis, and were awarded their honours degree between January and July 2024.

You will not be eligible to apply if you are currently or will be undertaking any postgraduate study at the University of Bedfordshire or another university during the period of the placement.
